NUS High School iPhone App

I'm actually blogging for the first time in 2 months! (My last entry was 5th July 2010).

Anyway, what compelled me to write this entry is this awesome awesome new IPHONE APPLICATION.

It's the NUS HIGH SCHOOL iPhone App! Exclusive to NUS High School!!!

... and it has a cool advertisement to boot:

So... a few months ago, Sidwyn asked me what I would like in an iPhone application for the school - and I thought: SO COOL, so I gave him some (er, not so good) ideas like CAP calculator!

Anyway, he finished up the application, and it's super cool!

Here are the some of the things you can do, which any NUS HIGH SCHOOL iPhone user will DEFINITELY want:

1) Call and email any teacher in NUS High School with the click of a finger!

CONVENIENCE! No more walking to the staff room grimy phone and filtering through the tiny words on the staff directory. No more guessing teacher's extension numbers, or email accounts!

Just scroll, and click!

2) Search teachers by department or name

Not sure what the new Chemistry teacher's name is? Fret not! For all stalking purposes, simply go to "Chemistry Department"! Or, if you are not sure which department Mr Lim Teng Hong belongs to, just type his name in.

3) Create your own personalized timetable

At the start of every semester, we get this ugly white/colourful timetable thing posted on eSpace with all the unnecessary modules (I mean, who takes that many modules?) Now you can easily customize and view your own timetable at a breeze!

4) Login to NUSOPEN network automatically

Sigh, another one of those features that tempt me to switch from blackberry to iPhone. I'm sick of having to go to "Network" and then connect, and subsequently select "WiFi Hotspot Login". For iPhone users... life is so easy with this application!

5) One tap shortcut to useful links

Yes, anything you will possibly need to access at your fingertips - eSpace? checked!

STILL NOT CONVINCED?

I think it's really cool that someone I know has come up with an application like that!

Takes so much dedication and time - plus the results are amazing! It's a pity the school banned the advertisement, I mean, this is OBVIOUSLY a display of talent!!! SUPPORT NUS HIGH SCHOOL.
